We are super excited to be bringing Hungarys finest psychedelic dudes Middlemist Red to Chelmsford as part of their UK tour!

Middlemist Red, Hungary’s most evolving psychedelic rock band, gives you the atmospheric soundscape of rock showing respect to its ascendants with nostalgia while giving it a new elucidation in a 21st century context. The foursome formed in 2012, soon they had a great impulse on the music scene of Budapest, Hungary as well as significant international acknowledgement at the top showcase events (listing below).

Between the first (Supersonic Overdrive, 2014) and second (Ripple Soul, 2016) LPs Middlemist Red has shown its talent all around Europe. The band’s approach to music became more intimate, the new tracks won’t leave you without an impression. The mindset has matured, the sounds became more consequent and fulfilled.

Since that they’ve expanded the list of notable bands they were performancing with, from Wooden Shjips, to Preoccupations, Telegram, Black Lips, Desert Mountain Tribe.

Line Up

Middlemist Red gives you the atmospheric soundscape of psychedelic rock showing respect to its ascendants with nostalgia while giving it a new elucidation in a 21st century context. The foursome formed in 2012, soon they had great impulse on the music scene of Budapest, Hungary as well as significant international acknowledgement. Now, after two years their second album is out and it was worth waiting for. The same gravity they were related to the creation of their first album got more fledged and consistent at the second, with a result reminding of late Horrors, The Sun and some Joy Division for the classic roots. The first LP Supersonic Overdrive got them on the road across Hungary and Europe, until last fall, when the preparation of the second LP begun. The new tracks won’t leave you without impression, the mindset has matured, the sounds became more consequent and fulfilled, meanwhile what the soundscape explores is astonishing. Their second album Ripple Soul was out on 19th of November, brace yourself for suddenly shredding guitars and synthetic orchestration, with which they will tour again across Europe in March and May of 2017.

The Psychotic Monks (FR - Paris) :

Four energies merge to produce psychedelic rock music, both furious and fragile, a rite of passage through their dark and dreamlike universe. It either sounds like a fix of psychotropic stimulant, or a slow and painful coming down phase. Sometimes, it also feels like this mystic and indescribable moment when you’re halfway between reality and another dimension. They enter a transe onstage, without any trick but the rumble of their guitars.

Their first album will be released on the 21st of April (2017)
